ELAFI DIGITAL MEDIA Inc.
Our concept of Medical Animated Education, arose about 5 years ago, when Dr. Mailis Gagnon (who serves as a member of a number of pharmaceutical advisory boards and teaches family physicians for years in Continuous Medical Education forums), was approached by Pharma to advise them on ways to approach the busy family doctors in regards to understanding pain.

Given the fact that family practitioners are extremely busy, with very little time to spare, while bombarded by constant information through many sources, Dr. Mailis Gagnon turned to Norm Gagnon [her husband], a computer artist, to help her convey to physicians what her patients describe in a vivid, intense and memorable way, while true science is well preserved.

Medical Animation Video Production The first product was the Pocket ATLAS of Neuropathic Pain Syndromes that ultimately was distributed to thousands of physicians and other health practitioners in Canada.

Additionally, the couple brought their vision to ACTION Ontario and the pharmaceutical industry, creating short films of actual patients with diseases embedding computer graphics.

Dr. Mailis Gagnon insists in employing real patient cases and the latest scientific information on disease mechanisms and evidence based medicine, while Norm Gagnon with his team add the Art to the Science.
